So, my doctor told me he would refer me to the Cleveland Clinic. It is a self-referral process where your doctor sends in the information, but you have to sign up and schedule yourself. However, without a diagnosis, you need to go through a team there that coordinates and schedules your visits for a comprehensive examination. The timeline for that is 4-6 months. So, IF I had started in Q1 or Q2 of this year when everything was starting to go South, I would be able to be seen. But, as is, I simply won't make it. I actually thought about it. I should have done it. I could have done it. I was not enough of an advocate for myself. Don't make my mistake.
I am to the part in my illness where the digestive system doesn't have much circulation. I think this was the pain I felt yesterday afternoon. this was documented in the article, as the patients neared the end of their time. Essentially, they would have a short time to eat - from what I can tell now that is the morning. Then, the stomach pains would begin. The pain after dinner yesterday was immense.
