Yeah, Nostr. What's that? It is a new protocol. Protocols are foundation layers for future development. TCP/IP gave us the internet. Bitcoin will provide us with a new financial system. Nostr can do that with social media and money. This is my npub: npub1w0v2psmnnsq23qpwum66hc8wxvxc083t6xpndmx28z3qtsv9xutsfjz2tf That's how you find me on Nostr (I use Primal as my app; think of Primal as the 1997 Netscape Navigator for Nostr). On there, I have been sharing everything that happens on a daily basis, plus general thoughts, etc., so that I can document this condition somewhere that it might persist. It might not, but I also think something like Nostr is the future of Social media. I might be wrong, but the Zap feature with a built-in Bitcoin lightning wallet is something that could and should revolutionize social media. What if you could zap 10 cents to read an article behind a paywall and not subscribe to the whole site? I think articles would get better, don't you? That's the type of concept that will make this protocol, or one like it, succeed. I have 75 or so videos scheduled for the future on YouTube. They document the last two or two-and-a-half years pretty well. Seeing a record of someone saying, "This is what is going on now," should help. But I also find that I have a need to share now, somewhere. Facebook is too friendy. If they want to know, they will eventually find their way to Nostr. X is where I enjoy commenting on politics, plus Elon sucks. Substack is probably appropriate, but they don't have Zaps, and I want to encourage what I see as the future.
