Things Change So Quickly

My last post was on a Wednesday. That night, I awoke about 1am and experienced a sudden level 10 pain around the center of my belly. It lasted a few minutes and then stopped. Even with all the pain I've dealt with, I could not ignore that pain.
When I got up in the morning, I ate breakfast as normal with no pain. At lunch, I was nauseated, but I ate again. Then about five, I went to swallow a vitamin and couldn't. It was stuck in my throat. I managed to cough it up. Then I tried to eat a bite of something.. Same result. So, I immediately recognized that the time had come as mentioned in the original article. The first clinical symptom would be stopped bowels.
At that point, it was Thursday evening. My wife was having her gallbladder out the next day. I had a choice to make... Which wasn't really a choice. I could go to the ER and ignore my wife, or take my wife to surgery. I tip her to surgery.
The walk into the hospital started the pain. Mid enter of my abdomen, it just ached. After a while, it went away. Then it came back even worse. I thought seriously about leaving, but I stayed.
The pain since then has been off and on. I still can't eat, or even drink more than a sip of a drink. But, I've spent this time at home, because I would rather be here then in a hospital, and it's obvious they have no clue to my condition and would likely do something that would result in my inadvertent early demise. I have no doubt as to the ultimate outcome, but convalescing in my own house is my preferred choice.
Tomorrow, we will make a plan.
