It Has Been Easier

It has been easier, lately. I suddenly stopped hurting about 2 weeks ago shortly after that last post. Totally like this condition to go through yet another period where things seem much more normal. During all these phases, from the ones that were many years long to these of the last two years that seem to change every month or two, I can still manage to forget I'm dying for some period time. In the first phases, it was years of feeling normal. Now, it is just days and weeks between whatever it throws at me next.

I am tired of going through this without an ounce of supporting evidence. It is such an insidious thing.

I was thinking about it all. A large part of how I feel, at this point, is about how the science was just taken away. I find that offensive. I think my physicians should too, but they never had the science. To them, it doesn't exist, so they feel no offense, no loss. They can just choose to not believe me. It is much simpler that way. But, in truth, this knowledge was there. This science was documented. It was explained in great detail and all of it, by definition, was novel science. Everything about this condition confounds or at least presents new novel processes. That is science worth saving, even when it is derived from possibly less than ethical, by today's standards, medicine. It was not unethical medicine at the time.

They were trailblazing and scientists. They were trying to help people and stumbled across incredible science. I think that is all that should matter. They were trying to help, just as much as a man with a leach was. Their treatment DID help and prolonged life by years. But physiology was essentially modified. THAT is why it was found to be unethical. The impact of the treatment had too many other ramifications. Changes in the way the body operates, generates and consumes ATP, hormonal changes, and more are too much for today's ethical standards.
