Admitted for further Testing

I went to the ER today. Told them just the symptoms I've had this last couple weeks. They ordered some routine blood tests and a abdominal and chest CT with contrast. They also ordered IV fluids but I was able to put those of until after the results were in.

I'm now waiting for a room. I've been tachy most of the day. I still haven't received the IV, and I'm glad and it makes me scared, too. I've always said the article was specific in stating that an IV in this final stage was bad news. So is contrast, for that matter.

The CT showed a lot of inflammation in the area of the esophagus. That's all. The article talked about how imaging wouldn't show anything until the pancreas was effected. I think. It might have said even after.. I can't remember.

Regardless, they are admitting me for an endoscopy to figure out the inflammation, since I can't eat. I'll be getting the IV soon. I wanted to get my thoughts down first.
